All Institut Esthederm products are cruelty free. NAOS does not carry out animal testing in the design or development of its products, all in full compliance with European regulations. Indeed, animal testing of cosmetic products has been banned since 11 September 2004. Since 2009, this ban has also applied to ingredients.
 
NAOS does not use any raw materials sourced from animals or plants protected by the Washington Convention (CITES), or that have involved killing animals. However, we cannot say that our products are vegan, as some of them contain ingredients of animal origin, such as products made by bees, like propolis, or marine plankton. For each of these ingredients, we check the origins of the raw materials, the manufacturing processes used, and their quality, reproducibility, and purity. At INSTITUT ESTHEDERM we do not have any officially vegan certified products.

NAOS is committed to the safety of all its products, which is demonstrated by extensive clinical studies and rigorous cosmetovigilance. All the ingredients in our formulas have been carefully selected according to very strict dermatological criteria and recommended by independent toxicologist experts. We follow as closely as possible the progress of scientific knowledge and we will initiate changes in our formulas in the event that new information comes to light.
